Defending champs Ub Huishan NE face immediate tests at FIBA 3x3 Macau 2024

MACAU - After their thrilling triumph in Amsterdam, top seed Ub Huishan NE (SRB) have no time to rest as they look to defend their title at the FIBA 3x3 World Tour Macau 2024 on October 19-20.

The No.1 seed have immediate tough tests in Pool A against dangerous San Juan Church's (PUR) and ever improving Kandava Turiba (LAT).

Pool B is scarily loaded and almost impossible to predict what will happen. No.2 seed Riffa (BRN) have turned things around, but there are no guarantees of getting out of Day One because Princeton (USA) represents a formidable challenge.

And Wuxi WenLv (CHN) are much better than their seeding of 11 indicates. Because they are boosted by former NBA superstar DeMarcus Cousins, who lit up the half-court in his World Tour debut in Wuxi to lead his team on a barnstorming semi-final run.

No.3 seed Paris (FRA) are determined to rebound after a rare early exit in Amsterdam ended their purple patch. The Frenchmen will be keen to get back on track and face Ulaanbaatar MMC Energy (MGL) on Day One.

Paris will be confident after edging Ulaanbaatar in the semis at last month's Shanghai Masters

The third team in the group will come from the QD A featuring in-form St Pauli (GER), Hamilton (NZL) and Brisbane CLB EXE (AUS).

Pool D is highlighted by a blockbuster clash between countrymen Partizan Meta Force (SRB) and Liman (SRB), who were runner-up in Macau last year. Both teams are desperate for their first dub on this season's World Tour to increase the stakes in this match-up.
